Find Your Voice In The Home Of Raga.

Hindustani classical, semi-classical and light music, taught one to one in Pune and online by Sampada Walvekar and a faculty of accomplished artists.

Why Learn Music

A Practice That Gives Back More Than It Asks

Twenty minutes of riyaz changes the rest of your day. The mind slows, the breath settles, and the small problem you were chewing on quietly sorts itself out. That is not a line we made up for a website. It is what students tell us, week after week.

Music gives you a reason to sit with yourself. It pays back patience with progress you can actually hear. The first time you hold a note clean and steady, something lifts. A scientist would point to dopamine. Our students just call it the best part of their day.

You do not need a background in music. You do not need to be young. You need a little time each week, and the willingness to make a few honest mistakes in front of a teacher who has heard them all. We take care of the rest.

The Teacher Behind It

The Teacher Behind, SwarSampada

Sampada Walvekar playing the tanpura

Sampada Walvekar started SwarSampada in 2014 with one belief: that music is an expression of the soul, and that anyone willing to sit with it can learn to speak the language.

She is a Hindustani classical vocalist and harmonium artist, a Sangeet Visharad in both, with a Master's in Music from SNDT, Pune. She trained under Pt. Prabhakar Kulkarni and Dr. Madhuri Joshi, learned advanced harmonium from the late Pt. Appasaheb Jalgaonkar, and continues her own training today under Padma Bhushan Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty.

Before music became her full-time work, she was an electronics engineer. That training still shows in how she teaches: clear structure, steady progress, and a reason behind every exercise she sets.

I did the 3 month Aarambha batch and got to reconnect with music after a long gap. The way Sampada ma'am taught did not make me feel pressurised or under judgement. Definitely recommend!
